Contraindications
Contraindications to massages (applicable to ALL of the massages that I perform)
Massage is non-invasive, natural and relaxing. It is therefore generally considered a safe treatment for most people. However, there are three types of contraindication.
Firstly, “total” when you should not be massaged at all. Suffering from any of the following would mean that I cannot massage you:
If any of these apply to you, please do not book a massage or any of my other treatments!
Secondly, “local” contraindications. This means that I can massage you, but not over areas affected by any of the following:
Thirdly, “medical” contraindications. If you suffer from any of the following, I cannot massage you until I have received permission from your GP:
These restrictions are in place for your health and wellbeing. Thank you for taking them as seriously as I do!
It is due to these restrictions that you will be required to complete a short health questionnaire on your first visit and to advise me of any changes as soon as you become aware of them. This will allow me to treat you safely and to ensure that treatments are suitable.
